Past Projects - Private Apartments
Ebberns Road, Hemel Hempstead - 24 2 bed apartments
This development of 24 apartments is on a brownfield site that abuts the Grand Union Canal. In this location the canal forms a major feature in the landscape, acting as a wildlife corridor and also a pedestrian link to the town centre.
The apartments are representative of the typical historical canal side buildings with a strong industrial element and formal facades overlooking the canal and the Gade Valley beyond.
The highly sustainable location of the site, on the edge of Hemel Hempstead town centre and with a high level of mobility close by, has allowed the land to be developed at a high density whilst still retaining a good level of amenity around the buildings.
Hockliffe Road, Leighton Buzzard - 14 2 bed apartments
Developed on the edge of the centre of this market town, these 14 apartments are in a highly sustainable location allowing a high density of coverage on this infill site.
Previously the site had been occupied by a derelict detached house which had become dominated by the new roundabout.
The three storey linear form of the apartment block allows car parking to be discreetly hidden at the rear and is articulated to enable the existing trees to be retained. It now gives a fitting response to this urban space and completes the townscape in this part of the town.
Since development was completed the LA have carried out there own street enhancements which add to the overall effect.
