Future Projects
Plantation Road, Leighton Buzzard
A development of 24 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses on a brownfield site in Leighton Buzzard designed to meet the requirements of PPG.3 (Housing) and PPG.13 (Transport). The design also meets the specific criteria for the site set out in the Local Authority’s Local Plan. The housing is of masonry construction and the buildings predominantly 2.5 storeys in height with the larger detailed houses taking advantage of the views over the Ouzel Valley to the west.
Willenhall Road, Wolverhampton
This proposed development sits on a brownfield site in Wolverhampton that was previously a garage and workshops. It is close to the centre of Wolverhampton and Willenhall Road itself is the main link between the City and the M6. The development has been designed to reflect the existing 1930s housing on either side of the site but in a contemporary style. The site also meets the aspirations of PPG.3 (Housing).
Stratford Road, Cosgrove
The brief from the Client was for a new house to replace the existing dilapidated bungalow, giving a high level of internal accommodation and maximising the views to the open countryside to the rear of the plot. The constraints of the site dictated that the building should respect the building lines of the adjoining properties and their height which was predominantly single storey. The new property was designed as a single element under a mono pitch roof so that the frontage appeared as a single storey whilst allowing the rear to rise to 2 storeys, maximising the aspect from this direction. Additional accommodation was placed at the rear as separate elements cascading down to a single storey.
Leighton Buzzard, Beds
A development of 16 houses and 26 apartments on a brownfield site in Leighton Buzzard, designed to meet the requirements of PPG3 (housing) and PPG13 (transport). The housing element is predominantly of 3 storeys and includes an element of social housing, designed to fit within the overall scheme. The apartments sit at the edge of the site as a series of individual "villas" overlooking Ouzel Valley and canal.
New School, Wingrave, Bucks
This project is a collaboration between BHD Ltd and Gavin Hinton-Cook, Architects.
MacIntyre Care currently operate a school in Wingrave for children with learning difficulties from within the Grade II listed "Tabor House". However, this building now fails to meet the OFSTED standards and the Charity wish to replace it with a purpose built school on an existing paddock and car park..
The new school will be a middle and upper school combined and all built on a single level around a central courtyard.
The building will have all the normal elements associated with a school but will include within classrooms those extra facilities needed for this user group. The planning consent for the development will include an approval for the conversion of "Tabor House" back to its original residential use together with the conversion of the stables into residential. |
